Description: |
A week long camp full of sport specific games and activities.
Function: To provide support and extra direction for participants in programs, and to assist the Program Instructor in the set-up, running and clean up of activities. Programs may include sports, arts and crafts, science, and cooking.
RESPONSIBLE FOR: • Role modeling appropriate behaviour by maintaining the dignity and integrity of Coquitlam Leisure and Parks by: • Having a clean and tidy appearance • Role modeling safety and appropriate behaviour • Respecting facility, participants and staff; • Using appropriate language • Arriving prepared and on time to volunteer placement. • Ensuring that your volunteer hours are recorded • Respecting and maintaining the confidentiality of program participants • Assisting program participants in their recreation program when they need help • Assist with arts and crafts, science or sport activities • Set up and clean up of the program • Providing additional support to individuals in need • Encouraging interaction between participants and the others in their program. • Encouraging appropriate behaviour. • Actively participating in the program
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - MUST be able to attend ALL CLASSES - enjoy working with preschoolers and school age children - must be at least 13 years of age - must be a responsible individual
