I. Mission Statement
The Mission of the Meaford Museum is to collect, educate, display, conserve and feature the history of the former Town of Meaford, and the surrounding area, (St. Vincent, Sydenham) from its earliest settlement to present.

II. Statement of Purpose
GOAL STATEMENT
The Meaford Museum is committed to providing heritage programs and services highlighting the history of the former Town of Meaford and the former Townships of St. Vincent and Sydenham.
This commitment will be achieved by the effective use of our human and financial resources to collect, preserve, study and interpret the heritage of the region.
AREA OF INTEREST
The Meaford Museum’s primary focus is the history and heritage, through time of the area that comprises the former Town of Meaford, former Townships of St. Vincent and Sydenham and the area of Georgian Bay surrounding this region. The museum may also engage in historical activity that is not confined to the area outlined when it is necessary to understand regional history, or when it complements regional history.
All artifacts and historical objects in the ownership of the Meaford Museum will be accessioned by the Meaford Museum in accordance with standard museum cataloguing procedures, including archival material stored on site.
