Office Assistant
Summary of Position: The Office Manager will work primarily as an office assistant to help organize and keep the office working by; answering phones, sending and receiving faxes for employees, greeting guests, help with mass mailings, inventory management and other miscellaneous projects as needed from staff.
Reports to Whom: Volunteer Manager
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Answer and transfer phone calls and voicemails to appropriate extensions 2. Help in sending and receiving faxes to appropriate staff people. 3. Help staff members with projects on a as needed basis 4. Help coordinate and send out mass mailings in a timely fashion. 5. Keep track of any office needs for inventory tracking and ordering. 6. Greet guests as they enter the office in a professional manner.
Skills and Qualifications: 1. Attention to detail 2. Knowledge of Word and Excel computer programs 3. Professional voice and demeanor; prior experience in office management a plus 4. Professional/Good etiquette 5. Time management skills 6. Ability and openness to learn new skills 7. Ability work as a team
Time Commitment: 20 hours a week, 2 -3 days a week on your own time during regular business hours
Training: 1 hour of orientation on job responsibilities and office functions
