New Tecumseth Supercities Walk for MS

Mission Statement: On Sunday, April 15th, 2007, the second New Tecumseth Super Cities WALK for MS will take place in Alliston, Ontario. Last year’s WALK was a tremendous success raising over $28,000.00 and hosting over 150 WALKERS.

The money raised, helps fund local services and national research initiatives into the cause and cure of Multiple Sclerosis. Over $65,000.00 raised nationally was injected into Simcoe County to assist local residents living with MS, by providing various assistance and support programs. Multiple Sclerosis is the most common disease of the central nervous system among young Canadians and affects 1 in 10 of Simcoe County residents.

The New Tecumseth WALK organizing committee is comprised of a group of local citizens who have volunteered to work on the WALK. This disease affects many people of New Tecumseth, some have family or friends who have MS and two of our committee volunteers have also been living with MS for several years. We are your neighbours and we are working for a cure.

Please join us in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
